The first closure is from an area just north of Idaho City through Lowman. The Idaho Transportation Department says it plans to re-evaluate the road's conditions on Tuesday this week.

Another twitter post clarified that this stretch of road is closed due to deep snow.

A second closure is in place from Grand Jean to Banner Summit -- an area often referred to as avalanche alley. ITD says avalanche danger is high in that area right now.
