There is a very active pattern in the Pacific right now and multiple storms are set to head our way in the coming days. The first of those fronts will arrive overnight tonight. This will bring just a few rain/snow showers in the early hours of Friday morning. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies for the much of the day on Friday. Saturday is looking like the snowiest day of the weekend. We’ll see periods of snow Saturday afternoon followed by partly cloudy skies on Sunday.

The pattern should stay unsettled through next week with another chance of snow on Tuesday with additional periods of snow on Wednesday and Thursday. Each one of the storms will help with our snowpack and ski conditions. Plus, each storm will help to lower temperatures in Western Idaho. That means that we’ll see a better chance of snow all the way down to the valley floor in the days to come.

The long range pattern keeps this scenario going for the next 10 days! This should keep any storm blocking ridges of high pressure from settling into the area for some time. We’ll keep you posted.
