IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (CBS2) — Two Idaho Falls men and one woman are accused of stealing packages at various homes in eastern Idaho.
The men were taken into custody late Monday night, but a third suspect was on the run until about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office says deputies received several reports of package thefts in the Ukon area. Using a doorbell video, authorities say they were able to identify one of the suspects -- 25-year-old Danielle Downey as well as the suspect vehicle. Just before midnight, police found the stolen vehicle at a hotel in Idaho Falls.
Police say two suspects --31-year-old Tony C. Cone of Idaho Falls and 30-year-old Mario JW. Deluca of Idaho Falls were found inside the hotel. They tried to run, but were quickly taken into custody, the sheriff's office says.
Authorities say they found several stolen items inside the stolen vehicle as well as inside the hotel room that had been occupied by Cone and Deluca. Cone has been charged with two counts of grand theft and Deluca has been charged with grand theft, possession of meth and possession of paraphernalia.
Downey was found Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop by an Idaho Falls Police officer in the area of River Walk Dr. and S. Utah Ave. She was taken into custody after a brief struggle with the officer.
Downey was taken to the Bonneville County Jail on an outstanding felony warrant. Further charges are pending along with potential charges elated to multiple theft and drug-related cases under investigation.
